Keywords:
Vocational Training, Recommendation, WTO, Legislation, Employment Policies, Equal Opportunity, CompetenceAbstract
Reading WTO recommendations on vocational training throughout the last century allows us to observe the multiplicity of aspects and relations involved in the treatment of this issue. Some of these aspects and relations acquire relevance due to its currency, and others because of their permanence as vertebral elements in successive conferences. In this article, we propose to examine four important themes in the current debates: meanings of vocational training, introduction of the competence approach, relations between vocational training policies and employment policies, and implementing the equal opportunity principle.Downloads
