Contribuições para inserção da orientação profissional e educacional nos currículos escolares

Although, career guidance can contribute to more healthy and promising life and career paths, its diffusion in Brazil is relatively small, and mainly focused on clinical/psychoterapic approaches, instead of pedagogic/psychoprophilatic ones. The latter can take shape of career education programs or transversal disciplines integrated to the curriculum and it is considered a more adequate strategy to deal with the growing complexities of the world of work and education. The article stresses the importance of reflecting upon the ideologies that support different these curriculum practices; describes the main existing approaches in career guidance and provides a model which places these approaches according to their ideological orientations.Downloads
