Innovation in teaching grammar in school: what do teachers say?

This article analyses the impact of proposals for innovation in teaching the Portuguese language on the discourse of teachers in a continued education meeting, which aimed to discuss new approaches to teaching grammar. The data were interpreted using the content analysis methodology. This analysis indicated that the teachers are aware of the limitations of teaching traditional grammar and the need to take new approaches in the classroom.Downloads
