In 2025, the world will witness a great demographic explosion of elderly people. This situation will be even more dramatic in Brazil because its senior population will double in just twenty years. This will result in great difficulties in paying pensions and for society’s structure. It is indispensable to unite the efforts of all society sectors to ensure a minimum of dignity for that elderly population. This article tackles some aspects of this new social dilemma and indicates the creation of long-life learning centers, as an alternative for improving and keeping current the knowledge of those workers in order to maintain their employability.Downloads
